I'm really not sure why I read this book. I only read the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book--maybe the second, too, but I don't think so. I was intrigued, though, and wanted something fluffy to read after some dry non-fiction. At first, I was really regretting my decision. I had a hard time keeping the girls separate in my mind, and the book didn't transition from one girl to the next very clearly. I also hated the predictable storyline. Above all, I couldn't get over the writing. I know Brashares wrote YA novels--but isn't this book for grownups? Where are my descriptors? I almost felt like I was reading something written by Stephanie Meyer.

The book almost kind of redeemed itself in the end--it got interesting enough for me to finish it, anyway, although it did get pretty cheesy.
