Read from April 04 to 07, 2012

After reading the previous book in this series, I despaired that it looked like one of those series that would never end there were so many new revelations with no sense of wrapping up anything. I need not have despaired. This last book of the series provides continuing romance, adventure, and revelations that tie it all up in unexpected and satisfying ways. I especially appreciate Lord Maccon's romantic retirement plans and the acknowledgement of the downsides of immortality. I also loved the twists involving secondary characters that truly allows them to shine. The author does leave open the possibility that there may be future adventures in store, especially with young Prudence Maccon (or whatever she ends up deciding to call herself), someone I certainly wouldn't mind traveling with again.
