I've never been a big fan of books with an age difference in hero/heroine, but Roxanne pulled this off. The book also had a lot of miscommunication between them, but it was a realistic conflict. The book starts in the middle of a hurricane. Who can put that down? The heroine is a tough, single mom, and the hero a charming man with a past. Another draw. The most wonderful thing about this book, besides the believable chemistry, is how much the characters grew from start to finish. These were two characters who seemingly didn't need growing, but did. The setting was just perfect. This is so much more than a beach read, reminding us of the devastation a hurricane has, and can bring. The best friends were a great add, as well as the biological father, who readers will want to maim. Another gem from one of the best in the business. Recommended.
