Ok, this is a stream of conciousness review because i have literally just finished the book:
Brilliant. Loved it. Worth the wait - despite how painful that wait was. Merit really has grown into her role in the House, as Sentinel, and as a vamp. Loved Jeff as always, and it was good to see the shifters play a role again. Paige was a character that showed promise for the future. It will be interesting to see how Mallory redeems herself too - because that girl has a lot more redemption to do. The Seth Tate twist was great, and did help explain some past behaviours. And Ethan, aaaah Ethan. (view spoiler) All in all I'm a happy camper...and the only sad thing is now I have to wait for the next installment!

I guess we're saying it because so many teasers and first chapters released for other books have suggested one story line, but turn out to be dreams/hallucinations etc etc. So we're just hoping it's true. No need to get nasty when we're just wishing and hoping...

Jessi Ethan came back at the very end of the last book. Mallory brought him back because she wanted to make him a familiar.
