Ok, this is a stream of conciousness review because i have literally just finished the book:
Brilliant. Loved it. Worth the wait - despite how painful that wait was. Merit really has grown into her role in the House, as Sentinel, and as a vamp. Loved Jeff as always, and it was good to see the shifters play a role again. Paige was a character that showed promise for the future. It will be interesting to see how Mallory redeems herself too - because that girl has a lot more redemption to do. The Seth Tate twist was great, and did help explain some past behaviours. And Ethan, aaaah Ethan. (view spoiler)[ I really was worried that somehow by chapter 2 Ethan's return would turn out to be another dream. Then once I got over that I worried throughout the book that he'd have to die again somehow in redressing the black magic Mallory engaged in. I don't think I can express how happy I am that he's back, and that he got over his fears enough for he and Mallory to finally exchange the I love you's and look like they are settling into a more settled relationship. (hide spoiler)]
All in all I'm a happy camper...and the only sad thing is now I have to wait for the next installment!
