It has a lot of wonderful theological, devotional insights. But it strikes me as archaic in its devotional style and stodgy. You would have to be already immersed in religiosity in order to appreciate this kind of literature. I got bored. I wanted to get blessed but I lost patience. I will try to give it another chance and if it still persists along that stiff, stodgy side, then I have just to give back to the library. I can tell that I am not religious while I like to be a spiritual person, if I could.

booklady That was more or less my impression when I have tried to read it as well—that it was a book I should like but could never quite bring myself to appreciate. However, I have kept my copy and returned to it from time to time hoping for greater success...

Have a Blessed Easter Ibrahim!

♥ Ibrahim ♥ I am so glad you say that dear sister "booklady" because I was beginning to feel guilty, how come I can appreciate spiritual things like everybody else?!!! I really wanted to appreciate it and still want to but in the very least I know I am not going to put money into it and buy it. I am looking for books that would encourage me in my prayer life and motivate me to pray and pray with more joy nonstop. There is a book I am reading currently by Gaston Courtois that is helping me realize this goal but it seems to be out of print.

You have a very blessed Easter. It is always a blessing to see you here and there. I am on Facebook by the way:
