Just lovely.

Now, I admit that I put aside a significant amount of reality in this book, including the acceptance of early 19th century society toward a poor, unwed mother (including the hilariously over-the-top wedding breakfast), and the notion that someone of such high rank would saddle himself with someone so low (it doesn't matter how ugly a man is...if he's rich, he would still be a catch).

So, putting ALL that behind me and accepting the fantasy of the Regency romance novel as presented, this was one of the best Regency's I've read. It had real feeling, real emotion, and tried to make the heroine and hero real, 3D characters with so much hurt.

Really, well done. It's only 4 stars because a) the ending was just too sloppy wet kisses for me and b) the plot was just too unrealistic.
