really liked it
Read from April 04 to 09, 2012

Temeraire is synonymous with Naomi Novik and a great dragon series, that I picked up 3/4 way through their creation. It was great to be able to read one novel after another . . . a continuous ecstasy of flying and fighting. But having to wait a year for this next novel has this poor old man's memory strained.

I found the storyline a bit confusing in the beginning, but I think it was just my memory or lack thereof. Getting into the meat of the novel, I was pulled into an adventure that i remembered, being at war during the Napoleonic times.

I give the novel 4 stars only because I felt that it dragged a bit in the middle, relentlessly stuck on a desert island. Boring. But with the progressing story, we hit adventure and action .... fighting action, stuff that guys like. Looking forward to the next installment, but how will this old man's brain fare?
