It's only in recent years that I have shown much interest in hip-hop. When I was a teen my younger sister was heavily into it and I didn't think much of it - though maybe being woken up in the morning with her playing it full volume might of tainted my impressions somewhat.

I really enjoyed this book and it gave me a lot to think about, ever since I started reading it certain things have stayed with me.
I would of liked to read more about the music side of things but I have spotted some other books listen in the source's section that I will follow up on.
