Tuck Everlasting is about the Tuck family. The family stumbles upon a spring in the woods, which has the ability to give them eternal life. When their bodies stop aging they realize what they drank. They also cannot be harmed or hurt in any way. To hide their secret they are continuously traveling. Until, a ten-year-old girl named Winnie Foster finds out about their secret. Drama strikes when Winnie is followed by a stranger who finds out about the spring water and wants to sell it to become rich. This book would be great to use in the classroom for a lesson. It contains a lot of great metaphors and similes. It is also brings put a lot of questions a teacher could ask students like: What would you do if you could live forever? What does family mean to you?
