This book was wonderful b/c it didn't just try to throw depressing facts at you, it was a descriptive and endearing narrative. It made digesting all those depressing facts and figures easier because the stories really resonated. People have an uncanny way of just throwing things in their basket at the supermarket, or ordering something off the menu at a restaurant without actually thinking of what it takes (or doesn't take) to get that food on your plate or in your fridge. This kind of book is a gentle eye-opener for those who care enough to open their eyes. Highly recommend!
