I really love this series. Clare is a great character and I love the way she handles her relationships. I think that's probably Kim's strong suit as an author--the relationships built between her characters. These book are light and fun while still creepy and mysterious, with just the right touch of supernatural element. Very Veronica Mars ish. (Which if you knew how much I LOVED Veronica Mars, you'd understand what a compliment that is..) I can't quite give it 5 stars because I find the books very predictable, but still. I love them anyway and enjoy watching everything play out. Also, of course I love Gabriel and Justin both, but I'm still holding my breath for the day life-long best friend/journalist extraordinaire Nate steps up to the plate. I wished he'd had a bigger part in this book. Oh, well. There's always the next one. Which I'll have no problems buying when it comes out.
