really liked it
bookshelves: mystery-thriller

I love Doc Ford. I love that he lives near where I live. I also love his fictional restaurant. That said, I am not sure how I feel about Randy Wayne White's new angle of making Ford get into and out of trouble over the course of a day. The stories, including the premise of Chasing Midnight, are cool. But I also sort of feel that it is false and I am reading an episode of 24. I can suspend my disbelief, but I am not sure I can do it this much. That said, this book was fun and fast and the perfect beach read. Well worth your time. And, if you can get the panco-crusted fish sandwich at Doc Fords on Sanibel or Fort Myers Beach, this would be the perfect companion for lunch.
