bookshelves: did-not-finish

I like the idea of the spooky fog surrounding the city, and I like the tough private eye shtick, but I just could not get into this book.

meg This guy just did a book signing at our store. No one came but friends and family. Turns out it's not doing very well on the book lists. Too bad.

Marleah Oh sad! I think it's a great premise, but I think the writing was the problem for me. But of course - it's a first novel, and it was good enough to get published, and I'm sure it's just as good as some of the writing out there from veteran authors ... so props to him for that. :)
