i wish that Clarke had been in better health and lived on to write this book on his own. i've never read Pohl but i'm not sure i cared for where he took this book. it seemed unfocused and while the title is utilized in the storyline it was pushed aside quickly. it wasn't even used as a metaphor. i liked it but really hoped for much better.
