On audiobook. It was fun, but it didn't knock me out, like her collection of short stories, Both Ways is the Only Way I Want It. A teenage American girl meets the English son of an apothecary-- really an alchemist-- in Cold War London. They get tangled up with spies and work to save the world (as well as the boys father), trying out alchemical recipes as they go. They turn into birds! They turn invisible. And they have a sweet little romance. Very enjoyable.
