This entire nonfiction series is so great! I am using this book and the Eccentrics collection to teach nonfiction to my sixth graders this year. What I love about Monsters is that it's super high-interest and it's got great vocabulary but it's not so difficult or boring that the kids won't get into it. This is a collection of 21 short (two or three page) stories about various monsters including Nessie, Frankenstein's Monster, King Kong, Dracula, and many others that the kids might know about but they might not necessarily know the full story. I learned a lot by reading this and look forward to teaching out of it.
