Now this was lovely--the second in Nora Roberts's Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy, this is about Shawn Gallagher. He cooks at their family pub and writes music when the words can't help but pour out of his heart.

Brenna O'Toole is a tomboy at heart. She works with her father in fixing and building all sorts of things around Ardmore. She's had her eye on Shawn since she was a teen, but can't imagine that he'd ever look at her as a woman. She's not one to sit about helplessly or whine though when she can do something instead, so she goes after what she wants :)

Ms. Roberts lets us revisit some of the characters from Jewels of the Sun, and this story puts together much of what I love about Ms. Roberts's writing--those lovely descriptions, beautiful characterizations, and the joyful heat in the passion that threads these two together.
