** spoiler alert ** Jesse Stone by not-Robert-B-Parker.

Brandman clearly read Spenser - but Jesse isn't Spenser.

I didn't like the way he shined off Sunny. I didn't like how he made Jesse willing to kidnap a mobster (who as a result of the kidnapping, changes his ways and goes legit), or willing to have one murdered. I hated Jesse moving to the rental house for the seclusion. And the Jesse/Molly relationship is wrong too. If this philandering, semi-articulate guy is Jesse Stone, I say RIP Robert B Parker, and all the characters and the world you invented. Mr. Brandman, find your won voice . . . or find Jesse.
