Queen Olympia to Beaurivage has returned with her memory restored. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

The return of one of the bossiest, pushiest and nastiest queens in fiction has everybody in the kingdom in a dither. Queen Olympia is determined to become sole ruler of Beaurivage and woe betide anyone who gets in her way.

While the reader can’t help but wish the king would clean out the dungeon and stick her in it or simply have her killed (King Swithbert is too kindly for such a thing), it is rather exciting to read how her return upsets everybody in the kingdom. Good drama requires conflict as well as interesting characters and Ms. Ferris is adept at crafting both. This is a worthy sequel to “Once upon a Marigold”.
