Princess Talia of Euphrasia is cursed by the witch Malvolia-- and when she touches a spindle before her 16th birthday, she and her entire kingdom descend into sleep. Awoken by true love's kiss 300 years later in the 20th century, she finds the entire world has changed around her kingdom, and that prince charming may not be everything she hoped for. In fact, Jack is self-admittedly lazy and bored, fresh out of a break-up, and stumbles upon Talia by accident, when he ditches his European tour group. They head back to Miami, where Jack really begins to fall for Talia-- and the feeling is mutual. When Talia is abducted from the room by the garage, Jack chases her back to Euphrasia, and by passing a series of tests, is able to free Talia from the not so evil hand of Malvolia. In the end, Euphrasia is turned into a theme park, with Jack designing the gardens (his dream) and planning on attending college. Talia stars as herself, in the Sleeping Beauty play at Euphrasia, alongside Jack and Malvolia. And they (presumably) live happily ever after.

A sweet simple story, Talia's naivete is cause for a good laugh-- but the characters themselves quickly fall into stereotypes, and the similarity of tone employed by the author makes the 2 person narrative somewhat unnecessary and flat.
