Read from April 07 to 09, 2012

This book for me was the epitome of why I DONT LIKE to read series.
In my opinion a book in a series should be a self contained story. Book one and Book two of the Rain Wilds Chronicles seemed more like parts of a single story than stand alone books.
I liked the characters. I liked the writing style and I enjoyed the book, but the end of the book left a bad taste in my mouth. The story is unfinished and I have to wait until 2013 to find out what happens.
I would recommend anyone who may be interested in beginning to read this series wait utnil 2013 so as to be able to read the three books back to back without waiting in between.
I think this book is a good example why a writer like JK Rowling is so insanely popular - she can write a book that has some kind of resolution, but you are so captivated by her characters you want to follow the journey of their lives and read another book. This book for me was more a journey of frustration than anything else - ESPECIALLY because I liked it!
