The Last Theorem
by Arthur C. Clarke, Frederik Pohl
by Arthur C. Clarke, Frederik Pohl
One of the few examples of mathematical SF I can think of (Flatland... Chaos in Wonderland ... any others?) makes this novel interesting, but it's saddled with this cumbersome narrative style, and I don't know whether to blame Clarke or Pohl. Probably Pohl, as Clarke was barely able to explain his notes for the story in his later years.
