This book has always been on my "to-read" list, and I only wish that I would have made the time to read it sooner. This is one of the best reads I have experienced in a long time. It fascinates me that it was written about 26 years ago and there is still relevant themes of an anti-feminist, anti-women establishment that is still alive today. This book isn't a fast read, but it's worth taking the time to hear how these events unfolded and the slippery slope that caused the women of The Handmaid's Tale to become slaves in a man's world.
