really liked it
bookshelves: comics
Read in April, 2012

Neil Gaiman takes all the Avengers and the X-Men and has them raised in the year 1602. Just getting them into period costumes instead of bodysuits is a big improvement. It is less violent and cleaner than The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which is really the only comparable comic. One thing I didn't understand was a minor point in the story-- why are there dinosaurs all over America? I thought Doctor Strange's character (basically John Dee) was the most interesting, and I liked how Daredevil was written as a blind minstrel.
