did not like it

A tragically dull book that pounds through a thoroughly predictable plot with the most pathetically tortured stereotypes. Turning every page in the vain hope of a plot twist that might possibly surprise becomes an exercise in self flagellation. Give yourself a break and read a magazine.

Penelope Actually, I loved this book, I thought it was funny, culturally interesting and well portrayed characters. I liked the Jewish angst. And the layers of psychological unravellings.
