really liked it

A SF classic that took me forever to get through, but I am so glad I did. Americans in space, they find 'a big, possibly pointless, object' in space and immediately go and investigate. Fortunately this is not Alien, and I was happy that this was more exploratory SF without the horror and suspense in it.

The object is called Rama, I found it really neat how in some places Clarke used it to sort of question the boundaries of what we call life/sentient life, and at the end there is a slight scuffle with Mars and then Rama goes on it's way.

This is why it took me a year or more to finish a book barely 200-250 pages, it would get boring and I would move onto something else for a bit. I still enjoyed it and will pick up the others in the series at some other time in my life.
