3.5 stars. Good little beach read. I took 1/2 a star off for some parts here and there that weren't realistic and bothered me. There were a lot of plot points that were just too convenient...

1.) They were dying of dehydration on an island abundant with coconuts?? They couldn't get the coconuts open? Their only attempt before almost dying of thirst was hitting a coconut against the side of the tree? Really? They never thought of using a sharp rock or something? It was just so silly. They would have tried a little harder to open a coconut if they were dying of thirst...
2.) All of their stuff just kept conveniently washing up right on the beach where they were??.... from their plane that crashed in the middle of the ocean?? Whatever.
3.) In her suitcase, that conveniently washed ashore, where everything was soaking wet, she had two boxes of tampons that just by some miracle were not waterlogged, too? Yeah, right.

Amy I think she bought the kind of tampons that were sealed in plastic not paper. Feel better?
