In some ways, I actually like this more than The Missing Piece, although it isn't the same. The lesson here is that everyone can make his own life without reliance upon needing something/one else.

We recently shared this philosophy with our daughter. I recall learning that from my future BIL a few decades ago.

Just try. And once you do, you can become whatever it is you need to be to move forward . . . on your own. ;)
