Ok, it was probably more like 1.5 stars.

The two main characters and the relationship between them just didn't work for me. When I came here to review, I realized that I had pretty much forgotten the heroine other than that I found her vaguely dissatisfying. The hero is more memorable, if only because he felt oddly cold for a romance hero and has an unusual name. Yes, many heroes in romance novels start out cold, but they generally thaw out far more than Thierry ever did. The relationship didn't set off any alarm bells or anything, I just didn't get it and I didn't care about it.

The book is kind of funny, though probably not as funny as it is supposed to be. While I did finish it, I have no interest in ever reading it again or reading the other books about this couple (I was surprised when I found out about them). I have read another book of Michelle Rowen's, Angel with Attitute, and really liked it, so I will probably try her other books at some point.
