I loved this book! Every bit of it! I loved the size of it. I loved the page layouts, the fonts, the side notes, the illustrations, and the poetry and prose soliloquies of the characters. Some poems I found very moving, such as Jacob Ben Salomen , the moneylender's son and Petronella, the merchant's daughter. The background information was wonderful. The book was obviously meticulously researched, carefully and lovingly written. It was a joy that begs to be read multiple times. What a brilliant mode to depict life in medieval times! I'm truly impressed!
