A trio of friends with confusing crush constellations (hello, Bermudez Triangle!), one of whom is a bi guy who's writing and directing a school musical based on his coming-out story (hello, Will Grayson Will Grayson!), who get the change to plan an "alternative, more inclusive" prom (hello, The Difference Between Me and You!), which of course turns out to be way more complicated than expected. I liked that all of the prom roadblocks were totally realistic administrative challenges that Peters somehow managed to make dramatic. I wish Radhika had been developed more, though, instead of being this John Green-esque unattainable object of affection.
