really liked it

Nineteen Minutes follows Peter Houghton, the main suspect in a high school shooting, as well as Josie Cormier, the only targeted victim who survives. Picoult introduces several controversies throughout the story, one being that Josie cannot recall anything from the incident and the other being that Josie's mother is the judge sitting on the court case. The story unravels in what seems like real time, focusing on what made Peter lose it as well as the relationship between Josie and her mother. Although the end contains a great twist, there is still sound closure.
