Honestly, with a title like that, how could I resist it? It also sports a blurb at the top that reads "Shows you what would happen if Buffy got married and kept her past a secret." -Charlaine Harris. Again, I found that irresistible.

Kate has been attacked by a demon-possessed old man (she defeated him) and a demon-possessed, pimply-faced teenager who looked like a demonic young Ron Howard (he kicked her ass). Her Watcher--oops, alimentatore--has appeared and told her the demon Goramesh is coming to San Diablo and looking for something (he doesn't know what).

On top of all this, her husband's up for an important political job and she can't make waves lest it spoil everything for him and her teenaged daughter is just starting high school. Add in the fact that no one in her new life is aware of what her past was and you'll see just how crazy being a concerned parent AND Demon Hunter is.

All this plus the possible end-of-the-world scenario is a bit too much for a Demon-Hunter-turned-soccer-mom to take. Why can't somebody else save the world for a change? Don't these people know she's retired?

Witty, irreverent, insightful to the problems of being a mother (and demon butt-kicker) this novel is funny stuff and a real page-turner. I highly recommend it.
