Narrator: Victor Slezak

This was one SB that I stayed away from when it was released because I didn't like the new books she was producing. I wanted romantic suspense (50/50 to 70/30 romance/suspense). It wasn't until 2013 that I decided I was ready to try the suspenses where the romance was in the background.

To my utter surprise, I found Hello Darkness contained more romance than I expected and was suspenseful. I had read a couple of SB's suspense ones like Play Dirty, which I did not like, and thought HD would be the same.

It isn't and is a "true" romantic suspense, the way I like it - where the attraction/romance is right up there with the suspense but none of those silly sex-at-the-most-inappropriate-times scenes which some romantic suspense authors think readers like.

Slezak was great, as usual. I'd buy any romantic suspense book he narrates.
