Mice is not as unique of a story as the title. Shelley and Elizabeth, mother and daughter, are two women with a history of abuse and violence that run away from reality. A quiet county cottage is where they now call home. Lacking an ounce of self-confidence, the only way they know how to deal with life is to escape. But can they escape when a man breaks into their home and threatens the little sense of safety they have created?

The book lacked the suspense that could have made it great. I certainly wasn’t biting my nails through any of it. I really felt Shelley’s past experiences were exaggerated which made me doubt any authenticity of the story. But, don’t get me wrong… I did like this quick read. Reece wrote an entertaining story with a great title.
