Anne is a Seattle nurse who is engaged to handsome and rich Gerald. During WWII her best friend,Kitty, also a nurse, announces that she is going to Bora Bora to join the nursing forces and Anne decides to postpone her marriage and go with her. The island is hot and steamy and predictably Anne falls in love with Westry, a hot and steamy soldier. There is a lot of dancing, skirt chasing and rowdy beach parties but not a lot of WWII history or talk of nursing duties. As the story progresses, there are a lot of obstacles in the way of true love along with a mystery that occurs on the island. Will Anne and Westry be together forever? Only time will tell.

I did like this silly predicable story enough to see it through to the end. Definitely chick-lit, so if you are "In the Mood", pardon the pun, to get your romantic buzz on, you might want to try, "The Bungalow".
