This is the second book in the Witch and Wizard series. It is by James Patterson. Whit and Wisty are brother and sister, with magical powers. The world is being taken over by a totalitarian regime called the New Order. The N.O. is led by The One Who Is The One which you never really find out his real name. He is also a wizard but he is extremely powerful and he basically brainwashes all of the city people and puts the rambunctious, rowdy, rude, and other wise the "bad" kids in society into labor camps or reformatories. The One has power over all the elements except fire, Wisty has control over the fire element and she, on occasion, bursts into flames, and it's a good thing. The N.O. is completely all power in all senses. They have magical control over everything because of The One, and they have an immense military that crushes everything in its path. Whit and Wisty are wanted fugitives because they are witch and wizards, and The One is afraid of them.
I really loved this book as well as the first. They were both action packed and full of twists and turns. I think anyone who liked the Harry Potter series and the Hunger Games series would like this series because it's kind of a combination of those two books. I also think its not a gender particular book because it switches from Whit and Wisty's point of view every few chapters. Also people who like distopian books would like this.
