Katt is thrilled to be done with jury duty early, but as she leaves the court house she witnesses a man turning into an odd creature and attacking people. Acting without really thinking she kills the guy and is quickly greeted by a squad of extremely handsome men in designer suits and a fleet of gray cars. She is a smart woman and picks up on some of the craziness that is happening and that she is being told by this group of men who deal with men like she called, or what they call 'superbeings'. But it turns out that the men she is taken by, Martini, Christopher, Mr. White, and Gower are all aliens. They have supposedly come from another planet to help take out these parasite type creatures that turn angry humans into violent killing machines (or any mammal for that matter). (They dont find her men in black jokes nearly as funny as she does though). As she nags them for answers, bickers with Christopher and gets endlessly hit on by Jeff we find out a lot more about the A-Cs, as they call themselves, and that there is a much bigger conspiracy and that they havent even been honest with themselves. Katt is also stunned to find her mom embroiled in the action as well.
For some reason this book just sucked me in. I stayed up super late reading it, of course missing much needed sleep ;) Katt is a little crazy but I kind of liked some of her impulsiveness, it was the kind that put a ton of people at risk or was nonsensical. Not sure about the whole Chris and Jeff thing, but thats ok. Love her parents and their whole family dynamic. Of course I had to bust out some tears for fears and beastie boys today
