Intentions of the Earl (Scandalous Sisters #1)

I would actually like to give this book 4.5 stars. It loses half a star for leaving me still confused towards the end.
When I was talking with Ms. Gordon last I told her that I planned to read all of her books this month and I'm keeping up with that promise. I bought this one on my own as I wanted to know more about the Banks girls after being teased by them in Her Sudden Groom.
You can read these independent of each other, but I really do suggest starting with Intentions of the Earl and reading the next two before starting The Groom series so that you're not spoiled in any way.
While there were times I wanted to bat Carolina - Brooke's mother - over the head for sounding all too happy to marry her daughter off to the first titled man that blinked twice at her, I rather enjoyed nearly all of the characters in this book. One character redeems himself later on, so I had a hard time really disliking him much.
Oh Lady Olivia...no matter what I just do NOT like you! You have no redeeming qualities and you will never learn your lesson because you never think you are wrong. I can't wait for you to either meet your match or your death.
As with Her Sudden Groom, you have to enjoy characters who are flawed, otherwise you're not going to enjoy this book. I, thankfully, am one of those people so I enjoyed watching Andrew and Brooke grow up as I turned each page - and not just them, but some others as well.
It is currently free on Amazon, so if you have a Kindle or Kindle for PC app, I suggest downloading it and giving it a read!
