Overall, I enjoyed the book. A fun read for those who enjoyed the Gossip Girl & Private series. The flow of the story was a bit choppy at times due to the flashbacks, which seemed superfluous. In addition, there were interjections about the city itself that seemed a bit awkward as well.

The best moments in the book are when the authors (Ella Monroe is a pen name for Marilyn Rauber and Amy Reingold) departed from the YA lit requisites and focused on the backroom politics that make a story set in DC unique.
