A perfectly respectable installment of this series, if not the most sparkling. And this book kicks off the "Nightshade" mystery plotline in the present day Arcane books written under the Krenz penname. The heroine's "talent" as a high level human lie detector and her method of not letting that fact drive her insane is quite interesting too.

So hmmm, maybe I'd give this one a 3.5 actually...
