Dark and gothic. Written in first person (very well done) about a young woman who applies for a job as a teacher for the "fancy mansion" on the hill. The House of Trevelyan is filled with bitterness, sadness and dark secrets. The more that Ann works to unravel the hidden secrets, the more that her life is in danger.
I will not recommend this book to anyone because of the premarital sex. However, there was no language and the story was quite intriguing.
