Read in August, 2008

Man gets hit by drunk driver, experiences psychotic break, imagines poorly-written magical weekend with sterotypical ("sho 'nuff!") large black woman named "Papa", handyman who claims to be "Jesus", and Chinese girl, who all lead him on nonsensical (and boring) adventures and lecture him about the evils of "independence" until he (finally) wakes up in the hospital.

Truly moronic.

Tammy Wichman holy crap! that is a terrible review. My sister just gave me this book to read and she said that she's only heard of one person that didn't like it. I can now tell her of two! so, you don't recommend?

Joel I am not a religious person. I picked the book up only because I read a New York Times article about it that made me curious. It is possible that if you are religious you might find it "uplifting" or something similar. Then again, it is possible that you might just find it stupid.
