Read from March 27 to May 16, 2012
Okay, I admit it. I picked up this book because of the cover. I mean look at it, it's boo-ti-fuuuul.
I have to pick it for a reason because it's certainly not for the summary.
Can you blame me? Oh, look! It's another angel/two brothers love triangle with tragic heroine/ and oh hey, add a betrayal from a bestfriend who is also in love with her.
You should understand why I wasn't enthusiastic about reading it.
...well, maybe, you think, I changed my mind after I reading it?
Uh, that would be a no.
Thankfully, there were a few twists that were refreshing, a.k.a with the love triangle. Then the heroine is actually quite gutsy and smart. Awesome.
But the love connection was a bit too rush for me. Especially between the main pairing. I was like, what? That's it? I guess I should be thankful that the heroine didn't do the ping pong dance, dashing from one guy to another. At least, not for long.
The Angel Mythology is as intricate as I would want though, but it didn't really bring it to the table. As a first book, the author is probably trying to ease us into it, but it's like chunks here, and chunks there....it was boring to me.
I didn't feel it, you know? The world didn't suck me in.
I think I nodded off a few times there.
I may be too harsh but I gotta give it a 1.5/5 star.
Maybe, I would re-read it later and find my opinions changed but...I doubt it.
