When I hear "mythology", I think of how, because of this book, I have suffered greatly. Yet, I learned a great deal of information. When I finished this book recently, I felt like I'd just taken in about a lifetime of brainpower. I mean the sun's power could not have zapped me more than this book did. Useful, I'm not sure, but informing, definitely. I would only, and I mean only, recommend this to someone who either has nothing better to do with their time or who is absolutely obsessed with the subject of mythology. If you do actually make it through all 465 pages of this abundance of words, it is possible that you may find yourself admiring the author, Edith Hamilton. When I finished, I realized that it took some serious power and charisma to know so much and share it. You can appreciate this fact after you thank "Zeus" for keeping you alive in the process of reading.
