Seven-year-old Henry Day is stolen by the fairies and a changeling goes to live in his place. Chapters are alternately narrated by Henry (who lives in the woods with the fairies) and by the fairy who replaced him (and continues to live his life.) Literary fiction/fantasy hybrid.
