A great story with very vivid characters, and a couple interesting subplots. Myron comes across as honest & upstanding despite surrounding himself with people who sometimes don't fit those qualities. Mysterious superhero partner Win comes in to save the day a couple times, but my favorite character is Esperanza, Myron's petite former pro wrestler secretary who is funny, sassy, and smart.

Former pro basketball player, lawyer, private investigator and current sports agent Myron Bolitar is offered big bucks to infiltrate the NBA team of his former lifelong rival Greg Downing, who has gone missing. Is he still alive, and where is he? His first discovery: blood in the man's basement, which isn't Downing's. Did Downing murder someone and flee? Or was he a witness who has to hide out? The search leads him into finding underground radicals from the past who have hidden out for over 20 years, and more.
