As soon as I saw this book I had high hopes, and I was not disappointed! "The Madman's Daughter" is the excellently rendered re-telling of "The Island of Dr. Moreau" and I was hooked from page one! Juliet Moreau, the main character and the daughter of the aforementioned madman, is a likeable, gutsy character and the horrors she discovers on her father's island are appropriately creepy. This is the first in a trilogy and I can't wait for the next installment!
