liked it

I liked it. I didn't love it and I am probably the only person so you can probably stop reading. It was heart-wrenching and lovely and a total love story. I get why teens love it. 15-year-old Jess would be all over this book. Getting a divorce 28-year-old Jess cannot read it and look at the absurdity of the idea of following in love and traveling to Amsterdam in a matter of three weeks and having your whole love story play out over a two maybe three month period. That's it. I enjoy that this books forces us to acknowledge we all don't get happy endings but we can make the best out of what we are given. If you can suspend disbelief you might really really love this book. It was good, really good for teens, just not great for me.
