Witches, Warlocks, and Waging a War.

Jolie Wilkins is a witty, sarcastic psychic. Well, until she found out she's a witch and her power is so strong she can reanimate otherworldy creatures. Now she's a witty, sarcastic witch who's about to join forces with her beloved Rand. A war is being waged between the faeries, vampires, werewolves, and witches. But is Jolie biting off more than she can chew?

I. Could. NOT. Put. This. Book. Down! I had the first book in this series in my TBR pile for entirely way too long. Once I read Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble, I knew I would immediately pick up the next books in the series. (Seriously, after this review is written I'm cracking open Witchful Thinking) This book picks right up where the first left off, and immediately sucks you in. It's chocked-full of superb character development, a thick plot, and a juicy love triangle.

The characters and the hilarious banter are what makes Ms. Mallory's books special. She has a way of making you laugh out loud at all her jokes, even when laughing out loud makes you look a little crazy. Jolie is one of my favorite characters in any book. Sure, she cries a lot. Wouldn't you if you were thrust into a strange new world?

I'd be lying if I didn't admit the lust triangle between Jolie, Rand, and Sinjin isn't incredibly entertaining. Tasteful triangles are hard to pull off, but like everything else - Ms. Mallory has done so perfectly. Although, I am wondering where this book will leave Sinjin and Jolie in book 3...

A wonderful book, which I cannot do justice with my review. (That, and I am really itching to crack open the next book!)

message 1: by JENNIFER (new) - added it

JENNIFER I too have had this book in my to read list for to long. My problem is I can not afford to buy any books at the moment. So I checked the library but didn't have any luck finding it there either. LOL. I liked your review and it made me want to read the book even more. I guess I will see if I have a friend that owns the book on their kindle or nook. Thank you for the review.
